The 1999 uniforms was Lou Holtz first year. This was the only year that any Holtz era uniforms had stripes on the pants. The black jerseys were worn in the first game of 00' and similiar uniforms were worn in 04'.
These are the uniforms that SC wore in the 2000 season. The first game of the year against New Mexico State, the Gamecocks wore black jerseys. The rest of the year they wore garnet jerseys at home. The road uniforms consited of black pants and white jerseys with black numbers. In the Outback Bowl they wore red pants and white jerseys with garnet numbers, these jerseys also had the players last names on them.
These are the 2001 uniforms. The home uniforms did not change at all. The road uniforms used in 01' were the same uniforms used in the first Outback bowl. The Gamecocks did use all garnet uniforms in the homecoming game against Vanderbilt.
The 2002 uniforms were the same as 2001.
In 2003, white stripes were added to the sleeves of the home uniforms and garnet stripes were added to the sleeves of the away uniforms.
In 2004 the Gamecocks went to black helmets and black uniforms . In the Georgia game they wore black jerseys and pants.
